Una de las tendencias más representativas de este año son las rayas, en especial la dupla a blanco y negro. De esa última, podemos encontrar también estampados en rombos, ajedrez, y bloques. El blanco y negro como un clásico atemporal que logra protagonismo durante los 12 meses del año.

En esta medida, quise hacer un concurso para ganar la camisa que se ve en la imagen superior. Una pieza cargada de esta tendencia que puede ser llevada en diferentes ocasiones de uso. ¿La oficina? ¿Fines de semana? ¿La universidad? ¡Tú eliges!

MET GALA 2013: Best Dressed.

What I love about the MET Gala Benefit is that you can see the hottest celebrities, designers and personalities showing what they do best: looking as expensive, beautiful, and pretentious as they can look, and this year, because of the Punk theme of the event, it showed three times more ¡BUT BOLD AND RISKY!

Some of them went dressed up in a very Oscar-ish mood, others like they didn't just care, and the majority injected into their looks a punk feel. (Some of ´em looked totally out of place and you can tell they tried too damn hard) but people like Anja Rubik made it justice, and no, just because she's a model doesn't mean everything should look good on her, she just knows EXACTLY how to steal the show, AND SHE DID.

Trend alert: Holographic everything.

Even tho' the holographic trend it's been out there since last year in hands of Blumarine and other designers, we're see it on the streets, on the red carpets and even retail, just now. ¡And I love it!

I love daring and explosive trends just like this one because it not only allows you to play dress up but enjoy a little bit of what was hot in the past. The 70's and 80's were full holographic and even tho' people could associate it with tackiness and lack of taste, it can be a fun and even stylish if you wear it the right way.

Aunque la tendencia "holograma" ha estado vigente desde el año pasado gracias a Blumarine y otros diseñadores, apenas estamos viendo esta hola tornasol en las calles, en las alfombras rojas e incluso en almacenes de grandes superficies. 

Me fascinan este tipo de tendencias explosivas que te permiten jugar al vestirte pero también disfrutar lo que era tendencia en el pasado. Los 70's y los 80's tuvieron una cuota importante en la aclamación de este movimiento fashion, y aunque actualmente la gente la puede asociarla con falta de gusto, el tornasol que puede ser divertido y estilizado si se lleva de la manera correcta.

Pantone’s Colors Of Fall/Winter 2013.

It's not fashion week yet and Pantone's already showing their Top Ten Colors Pallete for Fall/Winter 2013. Even tho' we knew Emerald was gonna be the color of the year in a general field, we weren't expecting more greens in the pallete. They included "Deep Lichen Green" (a very stone-ish kinda green), Linden Green (a washed lime-green) and Emerald itself.

Leatrice Eiseman from the Pantone Color Institute told in an interview that they were inspired in the fallen leaves that you find in the forest, from the moment the leaves fall until they dry.

Aún no ha empezado la semana de la moda en NYC y Pantone Inc. ya nos mostró su Top 10 de colores que serán tendencia durante el 2013 para la temporada de otoño invierno. Aunque ya sabiamos que el Emerald (verde esmeralda) era el color del año (como se ve en la imagen superior), no esperabamos más tonos verdes en la paleta. Incluyeron el "Deep Lichen Green" (verde cemento), "Linden Green" (Verde lima lavado) y nuevamente el Emerald.

Leatrice Eiseman de Pantone dijo en una entrevista que se habían inspirado en las hojas que caen en otoño y que podemos encontrar en los bosques, desde el momento que caen las hojas hasta que se secan.

PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2013: FASHION EDITION.

God knows know much I love awards shows (in the US. are specialist in the matter by the way) because it gives us a glance of what's coming next in fashion for all seasons. Here's my list of the best dressed of the night. It's gonna be useful for those who see celebrities as fashion icons and get inspiration from their personal style. (or their stylists that is). The night was infested with beautiful dresses with intricate  embellishments and statement jewelry. It was also a great chance to see celebrities wear expensive gowns with nowadays trends such as peplum, deep V necks, and cut-outs.

Dios sabe lo mucho que me gustan los shows de premiaciones (en Estados Unidos son especialistas en la materia) porque nos da un adelanto de lo que vendrá en moda en todas las temporadas. Aquí esta mi lista de las celebridades mejor vestidas de la noche. Será útil para aquellos que ven a las celebridades cono iconos de moda y toman inspiración de su estilo. (o el de sus estilistas). La noche estuvo llena de hermosos vestidos con intricados elementos decorativos y joyas de impacto. Fue una gran oportunidad para ver a las celebridades usar vestidos costosos con tendencias de hoy: peplum, escotes profundos y "cut-outs" o troquelados.
